Fresh National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) data shows small-business owners in four key sectors are keeping a positive outlook even as tariff confusion and recession fears continue to weigh on the consumer.

Here’s the quick take-away from yesterday’s  𝘕𝐹𝘐𝐵 𝑆𝘮𝑎𝘭𝑙 𝐵𝘶𝑠𝘪𝑛𝘦𝑠𝘴 𝘖𝑝𝘵𝑖𝘮𝑖𝘴𝑚 report (May 28, 2025):

𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗦𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗢𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘀𝗺 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗲𝘅 𝘀𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝟵𝟱.𝟴, 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗮 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆:

Manufacturing = 99.6

These four sectors average = 98.2, which is right at the long-term norm.
